Immersive Technology Learning Space

This immersive technology learning space is named LIBytes.

LIBytes provides a dedicated area for users to explore virtual environments, interact with digital content, and participate in educational and recreational activities. It offers mixed reality (MR), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (VR) equipment and experiences, as well as humanoid artificial intelligence (AI) robots and micro:bits, providing users with immersive experiences and advanced technology interaction. 


What are the items available for borrowing?

• 2 AlphaMinis
• 2 UBTech AI Super Assistant Kits
• 2 iPADs (installed with AlphaMini mobile App, Merge EDU Apps)
• 1 unit of HTC Vive Focus 3, including headset and touch controllers
• 1 unit of Oculus Quest 3, including headset and touch controllers
• 2 Merge Headsets 
• 2 Merge Cubes
• VR workstation with software, including Unity, Meta and Steam Content Library, uCode, AI Super Assistant Curriculum

How to borrow the equipment?

• All the equipment can be borrowed from the Digital Library Services Office on Level 3.
• Each loan period is two hours, restricted to usage solely within the library premises.
