OpenDissertations via EBSCOhost [NTU Subscription]

OpenDissertations is an open-access database built to assist researchers in locating both historic and contemporary dissertations and theses. Created with the generous support of the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, it incorporates EBSCO’s previously released American Doctoral Dissertations, and features additional dissertation metadata contributed by select colleges and universities from around the world.

Screen Studies is a digital platform that offers a collection of screenplays, critical and contextual books on film from the late 19th century to the present. Access over 240 critical and contextual books  on major films, genres, regions, themes and history from Bloomsbury and Faber & Faber.

Emerging Sources Citation Index via Web of Science [NTU Subscription]

Web of Science provides access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from approximately from six databases: Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Science (CPCI-S) and Conference Proceedings Citation Index- Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH). Web of Science also offers access to articles' cited references.

Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Philosophers [NTU Subscription]

The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Philosophers features critical biographical entries on individuals who have contributed to the history of thought and philosophy. It is designed to grow each year, and the first stage includes more than 6,500 peer-reviewed entries on figures from America, Britain, Ireland, and the Middle East. Extensions to include thinkers from Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa are planned. The thinkers covered are from various fields such as economics, sciences, classics, political thought, philosophy, theology, literature, law, and medicine.

Arcadian Library Online [NTU Subscription]

The Arcadian Library Online provides access to online reproductions of rare books, documents and manuscripts held at the Arcardian Library. Materials in the Arcadian Library's collection focus on the shared cultural heritage in the Middle East and Europe and cover a wide range of topics like travel accounts, history of science and medicine, literature, history etc.

ProQuest Global Newsstream contains 2,500 news sources, including newspapers, newswires, news journals, television and radio transcripts, blogs, podcasts, and digital-only websites in full-text format. Users may access news archives of the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Australia, from the current day to the 1980s.
